This blog is about what I like to cook and eat. A way to share my 'adventures in food'. Hopefully, I can also provide some respite here, from all the London-centric foodies, as I live in the North-West of England.
Foodographic? I can only remember where I have been or what I've done in terms of what was eaten or drunk. If you ask me for directions, I use food shops and restaurants as points of reference rather than street names... it seems I have a foodographic memory.
After realising that living the dream and working as a chef in a good restaurant would only lead to an empty house every evening (with or without some awards and accolades along the way,) I left my job and opened North Star Delicatessen in Chorlton. I also got married and had two children.
I now cook for people wherever and whenever I can. I can cook anything from imaginative cakes to a great curry. I give cookery demonstrations and talk about food on BBC Radio Manchester.
I love food. When I’m not eating it or cooking it, I’m thinking about it, talking or reading about it, or watching it on TV.
